Fallout is a support group and website for descendants of the British Nuclear Tests.
The group was started on Facebook in 2011 when it became apparent there was no support for these descendants and their children. Over the years, numbers grew and it was felt a website was needed to cope with the increasing demand.
We are ‘NOT’ a political group, although we DO support the need of a benevolent fund.
Most of the people running this group are descendants of veterans who were at the B.N.T’s they all have firsthand experience with most of the aspects of being a descendant, and the issues that arise on a daily basis, whether it be ill health or to offer support after the bereavement of a father or child of the descendant.
We can also advise the best people to contact to get your fathers service/medical records and who to speak to for help with benefits....the most important thing is, you are not alone!
If you have any areas of support that you can offer the group or , please contact:
Shelly Grigg at (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Members of the media please contact Katie Hill (email@example.com)
If you are in need of support or have any questions you can contact us here.
Or if you are in Australia you can contact us here.
Fallout also has a UK Facebook Group, this is a closed group due to the various personal discussions that take place on a day to day basis. If you would like to join the group request to join -
Copy and paste this link and we will send a short message back to you.

While you are here visiting our website, you may be interested in filling out a health survey run by the BNTVA. Regardless if you are healthy or not, if you have children yourself and/or your fathers were at the tests it would be useful to everyone if you would be willing to fill it in.
B.N.T.V.A. The Charity for Atomic Veterans
The Survey into the Health Problems and Needs of the descendents of British Nuclear Tests is progressing well, many of you have come forward and completed returns for yourselves and your children.
The process is simple:
1. Email to request link to personal data input.
2. Follow link in email and complete personal details (these are only used to validate your status in completing the survey and will be deleted when the health survey is completed, unless you asked to be contacted by the bntva then only your name and email will be retained).
3. Receive an email with your code and link to the health data input.
4. Follow the link and complete the survey.
Any problems simply email - we will do everything we can to get your data in the survey.
Once the survey is complete we will use the anonymised data in support of our Recognition Campaign. This data will also be made available for study by other Nuclear Veterans organisations for their analysis and use.
We look forward to meeting you!
